During the 1970s numerous of African American students in high school in Boston protested their educational concept by creating schools boycott. They have create groups that boycott many schools that weren’t accepting what they wanted for their benefits. They form organizations, leading demonstrations to demand changes in the content and the way they receive their education in the Boston public school. They demand for education that value black culture, they demand to be mentored by black educators and for collaboration between school and communities.
These demands were very important in the black communities back then and today society because having someone who can relate to you that’s guiding will have a better understand of what you need to get done. It will increase your chances of being successful. For the most part the African American educators they requested are professional that’s done it and has been there before. Through these arguments for the value African American culture, students denied the way people describe them to the world. The black culture weren’t not respected and not valued so they black student were a key role that led to a decade

Earlier in 1968 a sixteen years old African American Leon Rock that attended Boston Public School begin his career in mechanical drafting at a trade school. His high hopes to a mechanic were destroyed by a staff at his school because of racist atmosphere. One day he was sitting in his sheet metal class, he raised his hand to ask a question. The teacher respond with some harsh words. He was extremely shocked when his teacher called him “ink spot” and ask his teacher to repeat what was said to make sure the teacher say what he heard. The teacher repeat the phrase loud and clear for Rock to understand.
Communities pays a very important role in education in the United States and around the world. Communities hugely affect the education a child is receiving from the school they are attending. Communities help to determines if each students are receiving equal education. It help secure equality education by people in these communities creating organizations to make sure each child is educated without discrimination. The main purpose of group leaders and organization created by black in these towns is to secure the equality education for everyone.
