REFLECTION FOR AMERICAN PUBLIC SCHOOL

Hubermann Ermeus                 In the 1960’s it became very fashionable to ridicule assimilative function of the public school in America. The functions of the public schools in America were different then it is now. It used to be segregated and not many people would support it. Of the greatest thing that happened in the public back then is Americanizing the foreigners into the public schools. It success in Americanizing the immigrants was very important to family that never thought they would be accepted as Americans in the United States.             Public school was the only way parents could afford to send their children because they could not afford the expensive private school.
